The Message “bible” is from the pit of hell!

WOW!!! I knew The Message “bible” was corrupt, but I didn’t realise it was straight from the pit of hell! (It is also not a bible, it’s one man’s interpretation of what he thinks the bible says apparently.)

I have just found out that “The Lord’s Prayer” in the message bible has at least one satanic phrase in there. I’ll put up The Message’s version of the prayer and also the KJV so you can see the difference. (KJV will be first.)
Then I’ll explain the phrase that I’m talking about.

“King James Version
9. After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11. Give us this day our daily bread.
12. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.”

Here is the prayer from the bowels of hell.
“The Message
9-13 With a God like this loving you, you can pray very simply. Like this:
Our Father in heaven,
Reveal who you are.
Set the world right;
Do what’s best— AS ABOVE, SO BELOW**.
Keep us alive with three square meals.
Keep us forgiven with you and forgiving others.
Keep us safe from ourselves and the Devil.
You’re in charge!
You can do anything you want!
You’re ablaze in beauty!
Yes. Yes. Yes.”
**My emphasis.

Here is what it means. (copied from an earlier post of mine)
“She is doing the Baphomet pose “As above, so below”. What does this mean you ask?
This is taken from a site on witchcraft.
*”As above, so below is called an occult maxim. The word occult means “hidden,” and the word maxim means “truth,” or “underlying principle.” When Witches seal a circle casting, sacred space or a spell, they often say the words “As above, so below. This circle (or spell) is sealed. So mote it be.” That’s great but what does this mean? The words As above, so below stem from the mystery traditions of Alchemy, and specifically from an amazing piece of work called the Emerald Tablet.

*The Maxim As above, so below (as well as others you’ll study in the future) does tell us that Wicca carries with it into the twenty-first century a heavy coil of very old, very ancient, golden energy.

There is another meaning that goes along with the “as above” statement, and this deals with astrology. The movement of the planets and the position of the stars in the heavens do indeed reflect available energies that we can use or ignore. It is said that the stars do not compel, they impel, meaning that we have free will to use the available energy-or not.

As above, so below also related to Craft terminology that includes the word invocation, raising power, and the cone of power. In these three magickal operations you are focusing upward (in a spiritual sense), sending your thoughts into the spiritual realm. The change you desire occurs on the spiritual planes first, before it can settle into the material one where you are(As above, so below). This is why most people experience a delay in their magickal workings. To get what you want, change must occur. Sometimes the changes are minor (adjustments, really) and so the work seems smooth and quick. Other times the changes you are asking for are much bigger, and several things must happen above as well as below for the working to reach its desired conclusion.”

See what I mean? It’s directly from Satan himself. I ask you, please, if you read this “bible” get rid of it. Burn it if you have to, but don’t keep reading from it. The proof that it’s satanic is right there in black and white.
*I will add more things here as I find them.

**Update. Here is a website I found whilst researching The Message.
http://www.av1611.org/kjv/mess_bible.html
Also, some of the people that promote/endorse and or read The Message are: Benny Hinn, Joyce Meyer, Joan Eareckson Tada,, Kenneth Copeland, Michael W Smith, Max Lucado, Rick Warren and Bono.
Some of these people are Knights of Malta (Freemasons) and others are into the Faith/Prosperity gospel etc.
Those names should give you some insight as to the credibility (or lack thereof) of the book, or vice versa.

  1. I never liked the Message. I always considered it a paraphrase too far. God put specific words in the Bible for a reason, and Eugene Peterson seemed to me to think he knew better than God by totally changing the meaning of the text. More recently I found that Peterson is a proponent of contemplative spirituality, another reason to avoid his writings; and then I read somewhere in an article what you have reiterated in your post ~ this reference to the satanic/masonic/witchcraft “as above, so below ” statement. Shocking isn’t it?
It seems to me it was put there so that those “in the know” would recognise the writer as one of them. And so many preachers refer to this version as if it were the next best thing since “sliced bread”, as we would say here in the uk.
Personally,I prefer the KJV. But I do use other translations now and then. I have a KJV/AMPLIFIED parallel bible that help with the difficult language in the King James. And if I really want to check what the KJV says, I go to my Interlinear Hebrew/Greek/English Bible and look at the direct translation from the original language. But the Message ~ absolutely not.
Theres is a great article comparing different translations by Sandy Simpson on the website deceptioninthechurch.com. Simpson considers the Message a complete no-no too.

    Blessings to you

    • I deeply regard the KJV as it is still one of the most accurate of English translations to date. My Church uses KJV as our official version. However I have found some modern translations do throw light on the ancient texts. But “Give us three square meals” is going too far in interpolating the translator’s own ideas. Some people like in India (I was told by a not-poor man from there, that 2 square (main) meals is the norm over there. I certainly feel, “Give us this day our daily bread” still is God’s word, though other cultures have staples of rice or potatoes, it means our daily food. But I dont agree on the “As above, so below” accusation that this is taken, borrowed from Witchcraft or any other occult tradition. “Thy Will be done on earth as it is in heaven” will be loosely translated as such, though I still prefer the original. And the translator should not take all his own liberties to translate as he feels he wishes to write a new version of God’s Word, for the simple reason that though he is entitled to his own interpretations, he has no business/right to sell/give his own version, for the simple reason that he is not God! God knows better. AS for saying and accusing (as so many Christians are wont/inclined to do nowadays – getting into witch hunts and accusing/assuming/presuming and supposing that others are in league with the devil and serving the devil, that is too much and not right – leave God to do all His Own Judgements. We do not know everything. Christians like all other people also believe in things, do things according to their own light (hopefully from the Light of God) and conscience. Demonising and vilifying others are not simply the true way of God, as it leads to the persecution, hatred of, and danger of harm to these other persons. Personally I do not give too much credence to all these popular preachers, and their interpretations. As my Teacher is the Holy Spirit and He is my Foremost Teacher and Guide.

  2. I heard some time ago that it was not good, and that it was one man’s version of what he thinks God meant. I mean, seriously?? He thinks he knows what God meant? C’mon, gimme a break. lol
The King James (and other non-copyrighted versions) are like that for a reason. They don’t give us a sugar coated message and the don’t take away the trinity. They don’t remove over 64,000 words therefore diluting God’s messages to us.
I also use the King James, but I do refer to other versions if I get stuck, just to get a better idea of what the phrase or wording means, but I always go back to the KJ and it’s my final authority and the one I quote from.
My hope is that people read this and realise they are not reading God’s word, but man’s and decide to burn it (or at the least throw it out) and get a non-copyrighted bible.

    • A big AMEN!!
Like you I always go back to the King James. I know some argue against it, but I always find something not quite right wth the other more modern translations, something missing, or twisted a bit. And as you say its non-copyright so we can quote it freely.

      Keep pressing toward the mark

  3. Thanks for that link. A very enlighening article!
I had read that Copeland was a 33° freemason, also that Rick Joyner and Bobby Conner of the prophetic movement were knights of Malta. Do you have specific info on others?

    Blessings

    • I replied to you last week some time, but I think my internet connection was playing up so it didn’t post.

I don’t have any specifics on anyone at the moment, only what I’ve posted on the other post naming the false teachers/prophets etc.

Is there anyone in particular that you had in mind?

      • No not really.
I did find on Rich and Donna Vermillions website that Rich is starting a series on the Copelands, though. He came very close to them, so he knows what he is talking about, and he is very thorough. Website address=
        http//kennethcopelandblog.com
        Lots of info there
He refers to another site called saintsalive.com. Its run by ex-masons.
Amd I think it was at fanaticforjesus.blogspot.com that I saw that Billy Graham and Pat Robertson were also masons. There was reference there also to Rick Joyner and General Gerry Boykin being Knights of Malta.

        Blessings

  4. Very brilliant post, but I beg to differ on the list of ministers mentioned reason being that i as a Pastor at one time was enjoying the simplicity of the interpretation and promoting it . I later realized how awful it has watered down divine meanings and the message of the Holy Scriptures. ….and am not occultic.

    • Hi Patrick, thanks for stopping by and commenting.
I’m glad you liked the post. I wish more people could see the truth behind this book.

As for the ‘ministers’ you disagree with, I am not quite sure why. With the exception of one, who isn’t even a pastor/preacher/minister, they are all false teachers as far as I know.

I don’t say this in order to start a debate or anything, but from what I have read of the aforementioned people, their teachings don’t really line up with the Bible.
One of them even promotes “Chrislam”, which to me says he is a wolf, not just a false teacher.
