Who did Cain marry?

I have been reading a book called “The Creation Answers Book” and was reading about Cain. It’s written by the same people who run creation.com.
A huge question that people want to know the answer to is “Who was Cain’s wife?”

In the book, there is a story of an old man who said he would accept Christ if someone could answer his question of who was Cain’s wife. No-one could ever answer him, so he went to his grave, never accepting Christ because he could not believe the bible.
If someone had have been able to answer him, he could possibly have been saved.

There was also a story of a woman who, for years, had been smugly asking people the same question (believing no-one could answer her), even offering $1000 to the person who could answer her.
It was at a fair in a small country town that one of the contributors to this book told her the answer. She was shocked and “in a daze” when told the answer. She simply could not believe that someone told her the answer.
The man refused the money though. We are told in 1 Peter 3:15 “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.”
Are we prepared enough to answer those questions that atheists and non-believers alike ask, as in the one above? We need to be able to answer those questions because it just might make someone think outside of their own box.
If they can be shown that the bible isn’t just a “story book”, then they might actually be brave enough to take up a copy and read it.
You never know, your answer could just save a soul. (Or at least get them thinking anyway.)  😉

Here is the link to the actual chapter in the book I’ve been reading: Who was Cain’s wife?

I hope this clears the question up for you. Don’t forget to share it if you know of anyone, Christians or unbelievers, who would like to know the answer to this question. 🙂

  1. Ken Ham, who has done a lot on Creation science, really was one of the people who brought me out of agnosticism and back to the faith. When I realized that we had real evidence to back up our faith, It was amazing. Every Christian must know the reasons why they beleive so that they won’t be led astray, but also so that they can help others as well.

    • I replied to this message the other day, but for some reason it didn’t work, so I’ll give it another go.

It’s great that you’ve come back to the faith Ted. Praise the Lord. 🙂
It’s true about there being enough evidence to prove creation. That’s where main stream schooling has done a lot of damage, in my opinion.
The don’t teach the alternative to evolution, which obviously is creation, so most people have grown up on that lie and believe it. It’s very sad. It’s one of the reasons I am taking my children out of school next year and doing Christian based homeschooling.
Hopefully in these last days more people will have their eyes opened to the truth and will realise that the “Theory of Evolution” is just that, a “theory”.

      • I forgot to mention that I recommend the creation.com website as a great tool for learning about creation. It is a website based on proving creation in a biblical way, but it’s all done by Christian scientists.

  2. I like to think of the difference between evolution and creation like this (if it helps anyone). Imagine you found an object you had never seen before. You had no idea about what it was or how it operated so you took it to someone for them to study. They tried some things and tested it out and then tell you, “This object does (a, b, c and d) and is used for (x, y, and z).” Then along comes someone who tells you that they are the inventor of this object and they can not only tell you exactly what it does and how it operates, but also give you an instruction manual so that you can operate it by yourself. They then tell you that the object does (1, 2 and 3) and is used for (8, 9 and 10) and they show you. Whom would you be more likely to believe? If you’re sensible you’d believe the creator of the object. Evolution is, and can only ever be, a theory because no-one alive today was there when the world was formed and they can’t go back in time to be there in order to test the theory (in correct scientific method), whereas not only does God tell us that He was there at the creation of the world, but that He was the one Who created it.

    • I’ve been saying something similar (not your analogy) for ages about evolution.
Has anyone ever noticed that it’s called the “Theory of Evolution” and not “Proof of Evolution”.
People just don’t want to believe the truth.
