Disney is of the devil.

mickeyPlease, hear me out. I know it’s a very accusatory thing to say, but from what I have learned about the Disney franchise of late it is not good. I will post some links to explain why I say this.

First of all, I have never really liked my children watching anything from Disney as I do not like the way the women are dressed and portrayed. (They have children’s movies on dvd, but the more I listen to those movies, the more I am throwing out.) Take Jasmine for example from Aladdin. She prances around in a barely there outfit with a heck of a lot of flesh showing. Call me a prude, but I don’t think that is appropriate for young girls and boys to be watching and influenced by.
Another recurring theme in Disney is magic. A whole new generation is being taught via Disney that it’s ok and acceptable to be involved in magic/witchcraft.
Here’s what the bible says about witchcraft: “Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.” Leviticus 19:31  “And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.” Leviticus 20:6
These are pretty clear about what the Lord thinks about it. It is also widely stated that Disney was a 33rd degree Freemason. If you don’t know what Freemasonry is, I suggest you do some research as they are not the charitable mens Christian organization they say they are.
You could start by doing an internet search on Bohemian Grove and the Georgia Guidestones to see what they get up to.

Here are some links that will go into further detail. The first one is a bit of a long read, but I believe it should open your eyes as to the deception and filth behind the Disney name.
(For some reason I cannot change the links to describe what they are about so I’ve written a bit next to them.)

How to stop the spread of germs and viruses.

sneezeAs a mother I love my children. What I don’t love though is seeing my children sick, even if it’s a cold that has knocked them around. I feel so helpless when they are sick and I wish I could take what they have and give it to myself so they don’t have to suffer.
I realise that getting a few colds or sniffles every winter is nothing to complain about. It boosts their immune systems, I get that.

What I don’t get though is the people that insist on continually sending their children to school if they have (sorry I’m going to be blunt here) green snot, or nits (don’t get me started on nits).
Clearly, if your child has green snot, keep them home so A. their little body can rest and recover and B. other children don’t get infected.

Also, please teach your children the best way to cough or sneeze. I know most of you believe that covering your mouth with your hand is the best way to keeps those nasty germs at bay, but guess what? It isn’t!
The best way to keep your germs to yourself is to cough into your elbow, yes your elbow. Don’t laugh and say I’m off my rocker because I’m not. Have a think about it.
Little Johhny has green snot and coughs or sneezes into his hand. He then picks up a book or shared texta or a toy in the classroom. The germs transfer from his hand onto whatever he has picked up. He puts it down. Little Suzie comes along and picks up the very same toy and voila, she’s just touched the germs that little Johnny has so generously left on it. She then rubs her eye or sticks her hand in her mouth and she’s just (more than likely) picked up the virus that little Johnny has.
If he had’ve just coughed or sneezed into his elbow, the germs would have stayed there, would not have been transferred onto that toy or book and little Suzie would not have picked up the virus to take home to the rest of her family.
I have taught both my children to cough or sneeze into their elbows (or the back of their forearms) and they do it now without even thinking about it. Sometimes they don’t get the timing quite right, but for the most part, they do.

All that is good to teach your children, as are correct hand washing techniques.
If more parents would teach their children these simple methods, then lots of viruses and diseases would not be spread around and less people would get sick.

I realise that for some people who have to work it is hard to take time off to keep your little one at home, and I feel for you. Is there someone you can get to look after your little one for a day or two.. Could you work from home for a day or two?  Maybe if other parents kept their sick child home then your little one wouldn’t have gotten sick and you wouldn’t be having to stay home with your child.

I think it’s really about doing what is best for your child if they are sick and consideration for others (which seems to be sadly lacking in this ever increasingly selfish world).

Preparing for Halloween

By Tillie Carson

Well, it’s that time of year again: the time when you can’t drive down the street without seeing inflatable witches and ghosts everywhere. Over the years there has been a lot of controversy over Halloween. Should Christians celebrate this holiday or not? For many, the answer is yes. Halloween is just a harmless time when the kids can dress up in fun costumes and go door to door asking for candy. But for others, it goes much deeper. Many Christians I have met simply do not know the history of Halloween. Personally, I feel that it’s an important thing to know, so I would like to take you with me back in time to find the origin of the second most popular holiday in the world.

For several hundred years before Christ, the Celts inhabited what is now France, Germany, England, Scotland and Ireland. Celtic priests were called Druids. It is not  possible to separate Halloween from the Druids because they originated it. These Celts were eventually conquered by the Romans. Information about the Celts and Druids comes from Caesar and the Roman historians, Greek writings from about 200 B.C., and very early records found in Ireland. Greek and Roman writings about the Druids dwell heavily on their frequent and barbaric human sacrifices. The ancient Irish texts say little about human sacrifices, but detail the Druids’ use of magic to raise storms, lay curses on places, kill by the use of spells, and create magical obstacles. By 47 A.D., Rome finally defeated the Druids in Britain and outlawed human sacrifices. The few remaining Druids went underground.

Many people today think that Halloween was just the Celtic New Year, but November 1st was the Celtic New Year. October 31st was celebrated by the Druids with many human sacrifices and a festival honoring their sun god and Samhain, the lord of the dead. They believed that the sinful souls of those who died during the year were in a place of torment, and would be released to roam earth only if Samhain was pleased with their sacrifices. During their rituals they would dress in animal skins, or tree bark, hence the custom of the costumes and masks in an attempt to copy the evil spirits or placate them.

(Much of this information came from Davies*.)

Snap-Apple Night by Daniel Maclise showing a Halloween party in Blarney, Ireland, in 1832. The young children on the right bob for apples. A couple in the center play a variant, which involves retrieving an apple hanging from a string. The couples at left play divination games.

The Druids believed that during the time of Samhain the division between the 2 worlds (our world) and the spirit world became very thin.  This time enabled hostile supernatural forces to wander around our world as they wished.  Because some animals and plants were dying (the start of winter), it thus allowed the dead to reach back through the veil that separated them from the living.

“During this interval the normal order of the universe is suspended, the barriers between the natural and the supernatural are temporarily removed, the sidh lies open and all divine beings and the spirits of the dead move freely among men and interfere sometimes violently, in their affairs”   –Celtic Mythology” p. 127

Today neo-pagans honour the death of a god, who is then reborn (Sun god).  Samhain is one of the eight annual festivals, often referred to as ‘Sabbats’, observed by Wiccans.  Samhain is considered by some Wiccans as a time to celebrate the lives of those who have passed on, and in some rituals the spirits of the departed are invited to attend the festivities.

The tradition of trick-or-treat started when the Druids went door to door, dragging behind them on a rope the dead body of a male slave that they had bought and killed for this purpose. At each door they demanded the same thing: food for their feast. But many of the people were poor farmers who didn’t even have enough food for their own families, let alone a feast for Samhain. In those cases, the Druids took the eldest daughter or child for the sacrifice.  After getting an offering, they would carve demonic faces into pumpkins, or large turnips, and place a candle inside them. (Today we call them Jack-o-Lanterns.)  These were left at the door as a signal to the evil spirits that this family did their share and to stay away from them. If the farmers didn’t have anything for the sacrifice (no children) or just refused, then the priests would use the dead slave’s blood to paint a hexagram on the door. This signal told the evil spirits to kill one member in this house as punishment for not doing their share. Trick or Treat. The treat: either precious food, or more often, a precious child. The trick: One person in the household died that night, although most of the time it was out of pure terror!

Druids at Stonehenge

“As darkness set in on October 31st, the clan of Druids would put on their white robes and hoods. They would carry sickles and Celtic crosses as they began a torchlight procession. At the beginning of the procession, a male slave was killed and dragged by a rope fastened to his left ankle. The Druids would walk until they came to a house or a village where they shouted the equivalent of ‘trick or treat.’  The treat was a slave girl or any female to be given to the Druids. If the people refused to a girl as a ‘treat’, blood was taken from the dead slave and used to draw a hexagram or six-pointed star on the door or wall of the village. Spirits of the ‘horned hunter of the night’ were invoked by the Druids to kill someone in that house or village by fear that night.”   –-Meyer: Halloween and the Forces of Darkness

I find it very interesting to think about how the Israelites had to put lamb’s blood on their doorposts as a signal to the Angel of Death to pass over, and here the Satanists are painting with human’s blood on the door to tell demons to enter.

The tradition of bobbing for apples and giving out nuts came from a Roman addiction to the Druidic New Year’s eve. The Romans worshiped Pomona who was the goddess of the harvest. They combined their harvest festival to Pomona with Halloween.

Irish records tell of the fascination the Catholic monks had with the powerful Druids, and Druids soon became important members of their monasteries. Pope Gregory the Great decided to incorporate the Druids’ holiday into the church. He made the proclamation:

“They are no longer to sacrifice beasts to the devil, but they may kill them for food to the praise of God, and give thanks to the giver of all gifts for His bounty.”

Pope Gregory III moved the church festival of October 31st to November 1st and called it All Hallows, or All Saints’ Day. Pope Gregory IV decreed that the day was to be a universal church observance. The term Halloween comes from All Hallows Eve.

The founding fathers of America refused to permit the holiday to be observed because they knew it was a pagan holiday. Halloween was not widely celebrated in the U.S. until about 1900. In the 1840’s there was a terrible potato famine in Ireland which sent thousands of Catholic Irish to America. They brought Halloween with them.

Very little archeological evidence of the Druids has been found, but there is excellent agreement between the Roman and Irish documents. Both clearly state that the knowledge of the Druids was never committed to writing but passed from generation to generation by oral teaching. This was to protect their secrets. The same is true today. Nothing is put into writing. The druids continue on secretly with much the same traditions.

The widespread problem of harmful substances such as razor blades, drugs, poisons, needles, etc. being placed in the Halloween treats here in America is no accident. Every year the number of children hurt, killed, or just missing, rises. Testimonies of several ex-Satanists show that these children killed and injured by the “treats”, and sometimes worse, are sacrifices to Satan. Satanists throughout the world continue to perform human sacrifices on Halloween. Today, people think it’s fun to try to scare each other or be scared on October 31st, but can you imagine the pure terror if you had lived there so many years ago? It would be the farthest thing from fun!

As more and more youth of the culture are getting pulled into movies like Harry Potter, role playing games like Dungeons & Dragons and computer role playing games like

World Of WarCraft – Horde Druid

World of WarCraft, they are digging into witchcraft. More and more of the youth today are becoming full witches, a little at a time, and they all know that Halloween is the best time to celebrate Satan.

I believe that many of the Christians who celebrate this “helliday” do so in ignorance. What am I suggesting? Should we be afraid of October 31st? Absolutely not! As Christians, we don’t need to fear the darkness of the devil, for we are protected by God Almighty! But I think that, perhaps, if more Christians knew the background of Halloween, they would not celebrate it. Let’s do what we can to show it to them! Let’s put it in pamphlets, hand them out at churches, and give them to trick-or-treaters that knock on your door. This year, let’s tell as many people as we can what they are celebrating. Let’s get this out!

* Davies was a 16th century writer who traced his family lineage directly back to Druid priests who fought against Caesar. He clearly describes the human sacrifices of his ancestors and the secret sacrifices still performed regularly by the Druids of his time.  In his writings, Davies indicated that he came under much persecution for putting in writing his information about Druids.

In addition, I found the following resources helpful as well.

Some important omissions of repentance from modern bibles.

I am just going to do  a shortish post about repentance. Not the actual meaning of it, but how an awful lot of modern versions of the bible have omitted many references to it.
The King James Version is down the bottom so you can compare it to how many times it has been omitted in some of the modern versions.

ESV English Standard Version

  • repent – 37
  • repentance – 20
  • repented – 8
  • repentest – 0
  • repenteth – 0
  • repenting – 0
  • repentings – 0  Total = 65

NIV New International Version

  • repent – 39
  • repentance – 21
  • repented – 9
  • repentest – 0
  • repenteth – 0
  • repenting – 0
  • repentings – 0  Total = 69

NASB New American Standard Bible

  • repent – 38
  • repentance – 23
  • repented – 8
  • repentest – 0
  • repenteth – 0

NLT New Living Translation

  • repent – 44

VUL Latin Vulgate

KING JAMES VERSION

  • REPENT – 46
  • REPENTANCE – 26
  • REPENTED – 32
  • REPENTEST – 1
  • REPENTETH – 5
  • REPENTING – 1
  • REPENTINGS – 1  TOTAL = 112

Notice the difference in the amount of times words relating to repent have been deleted from these versions of the bible? (Not the King James)
If you are reading or using any of these versions, I ask you to pray about it and see where the Holy Spirit leads you. There is a reason the words to do with repentance have been taken out of the bible. It’s to spread a false gospel and to get believers to believe that repentance isn’t as important as it is, and it IS important because without true repentance, there is no salvation.
“I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” Luke 13:3,5

“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.” 2 Peter 2:1

“But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.” Galatians 1:8,9

Spiritual Abuse.

As the title suggests, this post is about spiritual abuse. It sounds weird, but it does happen, and I believe it happened to me.

I did a post the other day about it but felt it was a bit too long and didn’t make any real clear point, so I am going to try again and see how I go. I don’t want to put too much of my personal experience here in case it can identify certain people, but some will be necessary to make my point.

Here goes.
I was going to a home church type situation at a friends house. At first it was just a place to learn about the bible, the spiritual realm and how it operates plus other things related to those topics.
It all started out fine and we all seemed to get along well and things were moving along nicely.
Some months later new people started turning up at the meetings and new friendships were being formed and the group was coming along nicely.
New people came and went but there was the main group of us who turned up like clockwork every week. The longer the core group of us stayed in the group, the more like family we seemed to be. Or so I thought.

The person whose house we all went to was someone I had known for years but had lost contact with for various reasons. Her and I used to have great conversations and she was very charismatic, someone with the gift of the gab. She was very funny and knew the right things to say. Not long before the home church type situation had started, we had reconnected via a mutual friend. This person also used to be my counsellor so she knew me fairly well. We got along really well, so when things she started saying didn’t gel with what she had said previously, I just put it down to me being nit-picky or suspicious. I continued to ignore the discrepancies, but inadvertently made a mental note of them.

After several attempts to leave the group, (I was always wooed back) I started getting the sense that something wasn’t quite right. Things just weren’t adding up.
Most of us used to use the NIV (New International Version) bible and didn’t think anything of it. After stumbling across a website one day I saw a post that proved that the NIV was actually corrupt and that it was no good. I pointed this out to my friend and her husband but they didn’t think anything of it.
It wasn’t until a few months later that they then announced to the group that they had discovered that the NIV was bad and we shouldn’t use it anymore. I didn’t say anything as I’m not the type of person that likes confrontations and I didn’t know if it was just me being silly or not.
They also used another “groupies” idea and took credit for it.
(It’s possibly because she was now an “Apostle” and apparently that’s part of their job description. If someone gets a ‘word of knowledge’, or a prophecy about someone or something it had to be run by her first, just so she can check if it’s ok or not.)

The group would also prophecy and I hung on to those words for dear life. I thought that she had direct line of communication with God and because I didn’t, I clung to her words. (as did others in the group I believe)
Some of the prophecies indicated to me that if we, for any reason, were not in the group that we wouldn’t have God’s hand of protection over us.
I now see those prophecies for what I believe they really were, manipulation and fear tactics, although it was ever so subtle.
Another example is a day when I was quite down in the dumps as I had sold something that was quite dear to me and I was upset about it. I had also had a lot of doubts about the group going around in my head and it must’ve shown because her husband decided to corner me and question me about it.
He asked me what was wrong, and because they had been drumming into us that we were family now and needed to all be transparent with each other (and we were to rely on each other now and not our ‘outside” friends and family as they wouldn’t understand and were all demonized) and we all had to be in unity with the group, I told them what was on my mind.
I certainly wasn’t ready for what happened next.
Boy did I get a mouthful. I was lambasted and humiliated. I left the room in tears because this woman made me out to be a liar, which I wasn’t.

The next thing I will say is that we had a group meeting for the core of us and she proceeded to tell us all the things she thought we had being doing wrong. Not once did she mention anything she had done wrong. I’m thinking that could be because she was now an “Apostle”.
I told them I had to leave early because I had to get home. Thinking, “Ok, we’re all family here and family help each other” I stood there waiting for someone to help me get my sleeping children to the car but no one even looked at me, so I ended up bundling them into the car myself. This was a regular occurrence.

The other thing that helped me decide to leave was one particular text message I got from her. It started because I had been on the phone and my Mum couldn’t get through to me. She was worried so drove up to see if we were ok. Thinking that it’s ok if I miss one night of group Mum and I decided to have dinner. I texted my friend and told her I would not be coming and her reply was very much like this: “if your Mum is more important than the group, then you need to think about whether you really want to be here or not.”

I texted her and told her that I don’t think I could be the reliable team member they needed so I opted out of the group. I wasn’t expecting what happened next. Not only did she delete and block me from a certain social networking site, but she got the others in the group to delete me also. She then emailed me and told me that it was not out of anger or dislike, but to see if I needed them to have a relationship with God or not.

All this, in my opinion, adds up to Spiritual Abuse. I will post a couple of links so you can see what I mean.

**Please note. I don’t necessarily agree with the other pages, comments, or links from these websites. I am merely posting them so you can see what sort of signs there are for spiritual abuse. If you decide to read the other pages on the links, please do so prayerfully. Thanks.**

Life’s Instruction Manual.

Life comes with an instruction manual. It’s called, wait for it. . . The Bible.   🙂
If you dare to read it, you will find where most of our moral values come from and a lot of day to day sayings that we all say from time to time.
For example: “Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.” Matthew 7:12
This is the ever familiar “do to others as you would have them do to you” or “treat others the same way you want them to treat you”.
The New Age movement has twisted this into the ever so commonly used word, “karma”. But really, God said it first in the bible.

Or: “Behold, every one that useth proverbs shall use this proverb against thee, saying, As is the mother, so is her daughter.” Ezekiel 16:44
Commonly known as “Like mother like daughter.”

Here is a link with some more common day to day sayings and their origins in the bible.
http://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/bible-phrases-sayings.html

Here are some examples of the morals we get from the bible that are still so very important in this day and age. I’ll start with the 10 Commandments God gave to Moses in Exodus 20:1-17.

1And God spake all these words, saying,

2I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

3Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

4Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: 5Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; 6And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

7Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

8Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: 10But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

12Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

13Thou shalt not kill.

14Thou shalt not commit adultery.

15Thou shalt not steal.

16Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

17Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.

This particular verse is talking about tattoos, and what I believe, is scarification, of which both are extremely popular these days.
“Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.” Leviticus 19:28

This one is pretty self explanatory.
“Do not prostitute thy daughter, to cause her to be a whore; lest the land fall to whoredom, and the land become full of wickedness.” Leviticus 19:29

As you can see, there are many common, day to day sayings that have their origins in the bible. I won’t post them all here because I’d be here all day, but you can find them for yourself, in the bible. All you have to do is read it. 😉

Christmas. Is it really Christian?

santaThis is a difficult topic for me to write about as some of my happiest memories as a child are spending time with family at Christmas. Playing cricket in the backyard, my Nanna cooking the yummiest Pumpkin Pie and (accidentally) hearing my Dad wrap up the cricket set he’d bought me. He also made some ‘sleigh tracks’ in the driveway, but to this day, some 30 years later, won’t admit to it. Just the thought that he would do something like that and deny it makes me laugh. I have so many more fond memories but I won’t bore you with them all, I’ll just try to get to the point.

Contrary to popular belief, Christmas is a pagan tradition that pre-dates Jesus. From the research I’ve done, it was a pagan day to worship their Sun god. Many people believe that as long as they bring Jesus into Christmas it’s ok, just like Christians do with Halloween. But there are scriptures telling us not to worship God in the same way the pagans do. “Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the nations which ye shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree: And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place. Ye shall not do so unto the LORD your God.” Deuteronomy 12:2-4

**While I like to use the KJV I’ll show you the same verses from the NKJV, just for a comparison. “And you shall destroy their altars, break their sacred pillars, and burn their wooden images with fire; you shall cut down the carved images of their gods and destroy their names from that place. You shall not worship the LORD your God with such things.” Deut 12:3,4** Most people believe it is Jesus’ birthday, but if you look at the scriptures which talk about His birth, you will see that it probably wasn’t in winter. I am not the best writer and I don’t know all the facts, so I will include some links that can explain it better than I can. The one I’m going to post has 4 videos, but they aren’t very long, under 10 minutes each I think, so It shouldn’t take you more than 40 minutes to watch, but I can tell you, once you start watching you learn so much and don’t want to stop watching.(For some reason I cannot edit the titles of the links below. grr They are called The Origins of Christmas.)

I ask you to think about what you have seen, and if you are a Christian, pray about it and go from there. God Bless.

Halloween. Should you “celebrate” it?

As you can see, this post is about Halloween and should you be “celebrating” it.
Most people think it’s just a bit of harmless fun. Dressing up and giving out goodies is all innocent. Or is it? If you read these links you should be able to see that it’s not all it’s cracked up to be. There is evil behind it all and I hope and pray that you see it too.

Here is what the bible says about this sort of thing: “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.” Ephesians 5:11

Here’s what the bible says about worshiping God in the same way the pagans do. 2Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the nations which ye shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree: 3And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place. 4Ye shall not do so unto the LORD your God.” Deuteronomy 12:2-4

Halloween doesn’t look so innocent now does it?
My hope is that you will see the truth and let your family and friends know not to take part in this evil pagan tradition. Even if you wrap it up in Jesus, just like the church in the youtube clip, it is still evil.

**Please note. I don’t necessarily endorse these websites or people who post the youtube clips and the ads & comments on them. They are merely a form of getting the facts across**

God Bless.

5 Ways God uses problems in your life.

James

5 ways God uses problems in your life.  *found on facebook*

1. God uses problems to DIRECT you.

Sometimes God must light a fire under you to get you moving.  Problems often point us in a new direction and motivate us to change.  Is God trying to get your attention?

2. God uses problems to INSPECT you.

People are like tea bags . . . if you want to know what’s inside them, just drop them into hot water!  Has God ever tested your faith with a problem?  What do problems reveal about you?
“My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.” James 1:2-3

3. God uses problems to CORRECT you.

Some lessons we learn only through pain and failure.  It’s likely that as a child your parents told you not to touch a hot stove.  But you probably learned by being burned.  Sometimes we only learn the value of something … health, money, a relationship … by losing it.                     “It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn your statutes.” Psalm 119:71-72

4. God uses problems to PROTECT you.

A problem can be a blessing in disguise if it prevents you from being harmed by something more serious.  Last year a friend was fired for refusing to do something unethical that his boss had asked him to do.  His unemployment was a problem – but it saved him from being convicted and sent to prison a year later when management’s actions were eventually discovered.
“But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people
alive.”  Genesis 50:20

5. God uses problems to PERFECT you.

Problems, when responded to correctly, are character builders. God is far more interested in your character than your comfort. Your relationship to God and your character are the only two things you’re going to take with you into eternity.
And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: “ Romans 5:3-4

Here’s the point:  God is at work in your life – even when you do not recognize it or understand it.  By reading these 5 Lessons of God, be mindful to ask  “Why have you endured a situation?”  If ANY situation exists and YOU can see no way out, pause, meditate (on the word), and ask God to show you the way out. (WORK, HOME, SCHOOL, the interstate, ANYWHERE).

Sometimes the lesson can be one of patience, so be receptive to ALL God’s ways.  God will show you.  Have faith in the outcome of God’s work.  God does all things in our life to strengthen us.  We are His children.  Each road we journey is a lesson for life.  If you continually seek understanding from life, you can be receptive of its lesson.
