The Mammogram!

Many women are afraid of their first mammogram, but there is no need to worry. By taking a few minutes each day for the week preceding the exam and doing the following practice exercises, you will be totally prepared. And best of all, you can do these simple practice exercises right in the privacy of your own home.

Exercise #1: Freeze two metal bookends overnight. Strip to the waist. Invite a stranger into the room. Press the bookends against one of your breasts. Smash the bookends together as hard as you can. Repeat with the other breast. Set an appointment with the stranger to meet next year and do it again.

Exercise #2 Open your refrigerator door and insert one breast between the door and the main box. Have one of your strongest friends slam the door shut as hard as possible and lean on the door for good measure. Hold that position for five seconds. Do this again in case the last time wasn’t effective enough. Then repeat with the other breast.

Exercise #3 Visit your garage at 3 a.m. when the temperature of the concrete floor is just perfect. Take off all your warm clothes and lay comfortably on the floor with one breast wedged under the rear tire of the car. Ask a friend to slowly back the car up until the breast is sufficiently flattened and chilled. Turn over and repeat for the other breast.

CONGRATULATIONS! Now you are properly prepared for your mammogram.

Fruit of the Spirit.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith.” Romans 5:22

As a Christian, we are supposed to be a light in this world of darkness. We are supposed to be different, we are supposed to have the fruits of the spirit, as above. We are supposed to be set apart from the world, godly in manner and speech.

For I am the LORD your God: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy” Lev 11:44

If we are seen going out and getting drunk, swearing like a sailor, carrying on like a moron, sleeping around with all and sundry, dressing like a 2 bit prostitute and lusting after worldly things, how are we any different from the rest of the world?!

How are people supposed to know God if they don’t see Him in the world through us? We are supposed to be the ones that show God’s love and attributes and we can’t do that if we are ‘in the world’, acting like everyone else ‘in the world’.

Please, if you call yourself a Christian, read the bible, renew your mind with the Word and let God work through you.

I know we are not perfect and we all fall, but God will pick us up, dust us off and we can start again.

Christians, please read.

I believe the enemy is having a field day with us as he knows his time is running out rapidly.

I am seeing so many debates and arguments of late and it’s quite a concern.

Obviously not everyone is going to believe the same as everyone else when it comes to the bible and what it says.

There are about 3 issues (that I’ve been noticing) that are causing major division between Christians lately and by us bickering about it and arguing is causing some major damage.

I think, in some cases, we need to agree to disagree. It neither glorifies God or edifies the body.

Arguing til you’re blue in the face may not necessarily change someone’s opinion or view about a particular topic, so it might be best to just let it go. We have all come across those types of people who think they are right, no matter what anyone says. Those people could be under the strong delusion. And with all deceivableness of unrigheousness in them that perish; because they received not the love the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie.” 2 Thess 2:10-11

Yes, we are called to correct someone if we see them going astray [Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Gal 6:1], but I believe there has to be a better way of going about it than in-fighting and arguing. It’s not a matter of letting someone stray off the path, but about saying something in love and out of genuine concern for them, not just to be right.

This scripture just about says it all: “For I fear, lest when I come, I shall not find you such as I would, and that I shall be found unto you such as ye would not: lest there be debates, envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults.” 2 Cor 12:20.

In some cases, let sleeping dogs lie, but if you sincerely think someone is in serious error which could lead them down the wrong path, then say something gently. If they do not listen, then at least you’ve tried.

God Bless you all. 🙂

Jezebel. Have you encountered her?

“Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.” Revelation 2:20

This post is about a nasty spirit called Jezebel. She is not fussy when it comes to who she will rule over so you could have met a male or a female with this spirit.

You will probably know if you’ve met one, but sometimes she can be very subtle, hidden/dormant even, until she decides to rear her ugly head.
I have had personal experience with at least one Jezebel and I didn’t know it until the very end of our friendship. I won’t go into any identifying details but we were friends for a couple of years and she was/is a Christian. She runs a home church type situation and it wasn’t until just before I left the group that I realised what was going on.
We were being subtly manipulated and there were also a lot of very subtle fear tactics being used to make us want to stay in the group. It was insinuated that if we weren’t in the group that we weren’t in God’s will and wouldn’t have the spiritual protection from Him. I’ve since learned that this isn’t right and was intended to keep us in the group. At least, this is what I believe anyway.

There are different faces to Jezebel and I will provide some links so you can see what I mean. I can’t explain it as well as these links can, so read them with an open mind and let me know if you’ve come across any in your life.

**I do not endorse any of these websites or the ads that appear on these links and might not necessarily agree with any comments posted with them either. I’m simply trying to show you the characteristics of this nasty spirit and possibly how to deal with it**  {this page has plenty of links to Jezebel that you can follow}

Don’t “get” the bible?

“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” John 14:26

I saw a picture on facebook recently that pretty much sums up why a lot of people don’t understand the bible. I will post that picture at the bottom of this post.

I saw this quote below written on facebook and thought it might be interesting to some people. This might explain to you why you can’t understand the bible.
“The lie that God is not loving . . . that He is withholding something from us, keeping secrets, etc.”Have you ever thought that, perhaps, there are things written that pertain to this generation that men of previous generations would only have been confused by?
Have you read all the books that ARE in the Bible? Why don’t you try that first, then if you still have questions, ask God.
There is nothing He hides from His children. If you are His child (a Christian), His Holy Spirit will teach you when you read the Bible. If you are NOT a Christian, or someone who is truly seeking to know God, the Bible is not meant for you and you will not be able to unlock its secrets.
Try it for yourself–don’t take someone else’s word for it. It may just be that the people who are angry at God, who are spreading the lie that He is unloving and is hiding something from us . . . are those who can’t understand the Bible . . . and perhaps they are not able to understand it because they hate God already.
Your friends here, who DO understand the Bible, are telling you what they know . . . that God IS loving and is more than happy to reveal truth to those who honestly seek it.”

“Trying to understand the bible without the Holy Spirit is like trying to read a sundial without the sun.”  This is   so true. Technically, you can read a sundial at  night, but you won’t get an accurate time. The same goes for reading the bible. You can read it without the Holy Spirit, but you won’t get the accurate meaning.
**Don’t ask my why when I typed that line that it decided to link up to the picture. Just ignore it. It only takes you to another picture of the one below. I don’t know how to fix it, being the technology dimwit that I am. lol )

An amazing true story of faith.

I want to have faith like this. This is an amazing story of people’s faith and love of God.

It’s from this page:

“5. Once again: My soul, wait thou only upon God, for protection in times of danger. A naval Officer tells the following singular story concerning the siege of Copenhagen, under Lord Nelson. An officer in the fleet says, “I was particularly impressed with an object which I saw three or four days after the terrific bombardment of that place. For several nights before the surrender, the darkness was ushered in with a tremendous roar of guns and mortars, accompanied by the whizzing of those destructive and burning engines of warfare, Congreve’s rockets. The dreadful effects were soon visible in the brilliant lights through the city. The blazing houses of the rich, and the burning cottages of the poor, illuminated the heavens; and the wide-spreading flames, reflecting on the water, showed a forest of ships assembled round the city for its destruction. This work of conflagration went on for several nights but the Danes at length surrendered; and on walking some days after among the ruins, consisting of the cottages of the poor, houses of the rich, manufactories, lofty steeples, and humble meeting-houses, I descried, amid this barren field of desolation, a solitary house, unharmed; all around it a burnt mass, this alone untouched by the fire, a monument of mercy. ‘Whose house is that?’ I asked. ‘That,’ said the interpreter, ‘belongs to a Quaker. He would neither fight nor leave his house, but remained in prayer with his family during the whole bombardment.’ Surely, thought I, it is well with the righteous, God has been a shield to thee in battle, a wall of fire round about thee, a very present help in time of need.” It might seem to be an invention of mine, only that it happens to be as authentic a piece of history as any that can be found. There is another story told, somewhat similar of that Danish war. “Soon after the surrender of Copenhagen to the English, in the year 1807, detachments of soldiers were, for a time, stationed in the surrounding villages. It happened one day that three soldiers, belonging to a Highland regiment, were set to forage among the neighboring farm-houses. They went to several but found them stripped and deserted. At length they came to a large garden, or orchard, full of apple trees, bending under the weight of fruit. They entered by a gate, and followed a path which brought them to a neat farm-house. Everything without bespoke quietness and security; but as they entered by the front door, the mistress of the house and her children ran screaming out by the back. The interior of the house presented an appearance of order and comfort superior to what might be expected from people in that station, and from the habits of the country. A watch hung by the side of the fireplace, and a neat book-ease, well filled, attracted the attention of the elder soldier. He took down a book: it was written in a language unknown to him, but the name of Jesus Christ was legible on every page. At this moment, the master of the house entered by the door through which his wife and children had just fled. One of the soldiers, by threatening signs demanded provisions the man stood firm, and undaunted, but shook his head. The soldier who held the book approached him, and pointing to the name of Jesus Christ, laid his hand upon his heart, and looked up to heaven. Instantly the farmer grasped his hand, shook it vehemently, and then ran out of the room. He soon returned with his wife and children laden with milk, eggs, bacon, etc., which were freely tendered; and when money was offered in return, it was at first refused, but as two of the soldiers were pious men, they, much to the chagrin of their companion, insisted upon paying for all they received. When taking leave, the pious soldiers intimated to the farmer that it would be well for him to secrete his watch; by the most significant signs, he gave them to understand that he feared no evil, for his trust was in God; and that though his neighbors, on the right hand and on the left, had fled from their habitations, and by foraging parties had lost what they could not remove, nor a hair of his head had been injured, nor had he even lost an apple from his trees.” The man knew that. “He that taketh the sword shall perish by the sword;” so he just tried the non-resistant principle; and God, in whom he put implicit confidence, would not let him be injured. It was a remarkable thing that in the massacre of the Protestants in Ireland, a long time ago, there were thousands of quakers in the country, and only two of them were killed; and those two had not faith in their own principles; one of them ran away and hid himself in a fastness, and the other kept arms in his house; but the others, unarmed, walked amidst infuriated soldiers, both Roman Catholics and Protestants’ and were never touched, because they were strong in the strength of Israel’s God, and put up their sword into its scabbard, knowing that to war against another cannot be right, since Christ has said, “Resist not evil; if any man smite thee on one cheek, turn to him the other also.” “Be kind, not only to the thankful, but to the unthankful and to the evil;” “forgive your enemies;” “bless them that hate you, and pray for them that despitefully use you.” But we are ashamed to do that; we do not like it; we are afraid to trust God; and until we do it we shall not know the majesty of faith, nor prove the power of God for our protection. “My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.”

Deception. Have you been deceived and don’t know it?

I know not everyone agrees with what I post and I understand that it may upset some people.

But, I am just trying to show how some things are so very deceptive so as to keep you from seeking God. If we humans believe we are gods, then why would we need one to rule over us?! It’s so easy for us humans to think we run the show and to not have to follow certain rules and mandates that are in the bible.

That’s why it states “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” Matthew 7:13,14. This means what I said, people think it’s too hard to follow God’s rules and they think it’s easier just to follow their own and be ‘good people’.

The New Age religion is very deceptive in making people believe that we are our own gods, that we control everything that happens in our lives. The truth is, if we believe it’s going to happen, then we unconsciously make decisions to make these things happen. It’s the same as going to see psychics. We listen to their predictions and unconsciously fulfil the predictions ourselves. Ever heard of a self-fulfilling prophecy?. . I ask you, who are they really listening to? There is a whole other realm out there which has good and evil in it, and if you or your astrologist/numerologist/psychic/medium/tarot card reader/aura reader etc are tapping into the wrong spirits (which they are, they just don’t know it) then you are opening yourself up for a whole lot of trouble. Once you open the doorway to these evil entities, there is no getting rid of them (unless you turn to Jesus). Satan came to rob, kill and destroy us. “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” John 10:10    That could mean physically and/or sprititually.

The whole plan of Satan is to lure you away from God and so far, he’s doing a bang up job. There is a saying and it goes something like this: Satan’s biggest achievement is making people believe he doesn’t exist.Satan looks around for people to deceive. “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” 1 Peter 5:8.

Are you going to let him devour you, or are you going to choose to let God look after you?

Watch this youtube clip, go on, it’s only 1 minute out of your life. It explains how Jesus stands in the gap for us.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.   🙂

You might ask yourself why I’m going to the trouble of writing this. Well, I can tell you that I used to be involved in witchcraft when I was younger, to the point of even putting down on a form that I had to fill out that I was a wiccan.

I tried casting spells, doing ouija boards, read my horoscope all the time practised divination and even bought the expensive ‘Witchcraft’ magazine every month, and I can tell you that absolutely nothing good came of it. I wasted a lot of money and time on this sort of thing and it did nothing for me.  Thankfully God found me and got me out of all that stuff and I am so grateful. So I ask you to read this and think about it carefully.

The clip above partly explains why I will not allow anything to do with witchcraft in my home. It’s not as innocent as most people, even some Christians, believe. As a parent, I am accountable for all the things I let my children watch or read, and the bible clearly explains this. “Let no-one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practises divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead.” Deut 18 10-12.  Or another way of saying it is this:  “There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist.”

That, to me, is fairly clear about our job as a parent to keep our children away from such things. If we allow our children to read such things as Harry Potter, then that is just opening the doorway for them to get involved in the occult. I myself have seen that happen. When a parent is involved in witchcraft in one way shape or form, the child thinks it’s ok to do so and follows suit. It’s like parents who smoke. The child is more likely to grow up a smoker as they have learnt it from their parents. If Mum and Dad smoke, it must be ok for me to do it too. So it is with the occult.

Here is another example: “He sacrificed his own son in the fire, practised sorcery and divination, and consulted mediums and spiritists.” 2 Kings 21:6

There are reasons why God does not like or allow witchcraft. Witchcraft can and will open doorways to allow evil entities into you life and home and once they are in, they will not leave because you have given them a legal right to be there.  The only way you can get them out is with Jesus, as He defeated them on the cross. Until you allow Him to help you, they are there for good.

I ask you to please, reconsider allowing your children, and even yourselves, to have anything to do with witchcraft or anything like it.  Just because you don’t cast spells, or consult the dead, it doesn’t mean you haven’t opened a doorway of some sort.

The final word on this is spoken of in Revelation, the last book of the bible. “But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers*, the sexually immoral, those who practise magic arts, the idolaters and all liars–their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulphur.” Rev 21:8
I am not saying these things to scare anyone, or to use fear tactics.  I am saying this because I genuinely care about my friends and family and don’t want to see anyone go down the wrong path.  Once we die, it is forever. There is no coming back, no reincarnation or watching our loved ones from another realm. We need to decide now where we will spend eternity.  Which will you choose, smoking or non-smoking?  God Bless.

*murderers aren’t just people who have physically killed someone. Hating someone is also like murder. “Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him.” 1 John 3:15
Another point I’d like to make is that any and all witchcraft is dark, no matter the title. You hear of ‘white witches’ who supposedly only practise ‘white magick’, but I can tell you, it’s all from the devil no matter how it’s wrapped up and presented.

The secret behind ‘The Secret’ revealed.

This post is about the book/dvd titled The Secret. It is based of the law of attraction and flies in the face of all things biblical. It makes us our own gods which we certainly aren’t.
This is based on one man’s journey from the occult to the bible.
It’s well worth the read.  (please note, it’s a facebook page but it should be open for anyone to read, and you’ll have to copy and paste the link as I’m not sure how to make links work yet.)

Biblical prophecies fulfilled.

If you want to have a look and see which prophecies in the bible have been fulfilled, click on the link below and scroll down to the blue writing. Of course you might want to read the intro first to get a better understanding of the page.

[I was going to put a brief list of some of the prophecies here to make it a bit easier to see what I was talking about, but it won’t let me copy and paste them.  So it looks like, if you are curious enough, you’ll just have to copy and paste the link and see for yourself.]

Watch this youtube clip, go on, it’s only 1 minute out of your life. It explains how Jesus stands in the gap for us.

If you feel you want to invite Christ in, just say this simple prayer and turn your life around. You won’t regret it when the time comes.

Heavenly Father, I know that I have sinned against you and that my sins separate me from you. I am truly sorry. I now want to turn away from my sinful past and turn to you for forgiveness. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your Son, Jesus Christ, died for my sins, that He was raised from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become my Saviour and the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You and to convict me when I sin. I pledge to grow in grace and knowledge of you. My greatest purpose in life is to follow your example and do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

**Please note. Just saying this prayer is not all that is needed. We need to repent and turn to God. Repentance is a very important part of the Christian walk. *(You won’t find much about repentance in the corrupt bible translations. That’s why it’s good to get yourself a King James Version bible, or, if you can’t get one of those, at least get a bible translation that has NOT been copyrighted.**
